1. Clarity Clarity is in the eye of the beholder, not of the writer. No matter how clear your words seem to you, never assume they're clear to your readers.

2. Relevance Readers expect relevant content online. If they don't find it quickly, they'll leave. Engage them rather than coner them. But still convience them.

3. Brevity As a general rule, online text should have half as many words as print text, but often one-quarter or even one-tenth is called for.

But shorter isn't always better. Cut every unnecessary word, but never sacrifice clarity for brevity!

4. Scanability and readability Online, readers tend to scan, looking for something to act on. Make it easy for them. Whenever possible, break up text by using headlines, bullets, and frequent paragraph breaks.

5. Consistency Navigation, terminology, tone, and style should be consistent throughout the site. Inconsistency tends to confuse and annoy readers.

Choose a style guide, such as "The Chicago Manual of Style," and stick with it. Or write your own.

6. Freedom from errors

Grammatical mistakes, typos, and misspellings can spoil or even ruin a reader's experience. Not all readers notice, but plenty do. And chances are a few will be outraged, especially if you're writing about writing.

1. Strictly follow rules mentioned in Adsense policies

2. Never modify the Google Adsense HTML code.

3. Don’t ask your friends or visitors to click on your Google ads. Do not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. Don’t label the Google ads with text other than “sponsored links” or “advertisements.”.

4. Don’t click on your own ads - Google is much smarter than you think. You should not reload your pages excessively. If you are testing your website layout with Google adsense, follow these precautions.

5. Don’t place ads in pop-up windows, error pages or even empty pages

6. Don’t start another “student consolidation” or “home equity loan rates” website. You will never make money out these “made-for-adsense-o nly” websites. Instead, write on topics what you are passionate about. Don’t waste your money on high-paying adsense keywords lists.

7. For short articles, CTR is best when ads are placed just above the content

10. Google Ads without background color and borders always perform better. Make the border color and background color same as your page background color.

11. Always put ads above the main fold. Make sure that the ad unit with the highest clickthrough rate is the first instance of the ad code that appears in the HTML. Since the first ad unit is always filled before the rest, you want to make sure that ad unit is located in the best placement on your page.

12. Try setting the ad link URL color to a lighter shade. If your text is black, you may make the adlink as light gray.

13. Go Wide - The large rectangle is the best paying adsense format (336×280) - The Google Adsense Publisher team also feels that the best formats are the wider ones â€“ the ad formats that contain the widest individual ads. Try using the 336×280 large rectangle, 300×250 medium rectangle, or 160×600 wide skyscraper.

14. Placing images next to ads or above ads does help in attracting user attention.

15. Blend AdLinks with other navigation links or place horizontal adlinks at the top of your webpage. AdSense publishers are permitted to click on link unit topics on their web pages, provided that they do not click on any Google ads on the resulting page.

17. You can put upto 3 adsense units on a page. Try putting a large skyscraper on the right navigation sidebar of your website. That area is close to the browser scrollbar.

There are no hard and fast rules on how to blog. Having said that, bloggers will likely increase their exposure by following some simple blog guidelines.

Stay on topic.
Opinions are generally accepted but the content of the items in the blog should all relate to a general theme. Unless you have an uncanny knack for wit, humor or cynicism, the majority of your readers will be interested in the content that relates to a specific defined theme or loosely defined area of interest. Most readers won't care that you eat Cheerios for breakfast. They may, however, be interested in the fact that vinegar takes out stains and that toilet paper rolls make great wreaths. Define a topic and stick to it. This will ensure that you create a loyal following of interested readers.

Stay informative.
If you are attempting to create the impression that you are knowledgeable about a specific industry or sector, be sure that you stay current on news. If you are endorsing a product or voicing an opinion, be sure to check your facts; your reputation is at stake. If you are offering an opinion, be sure to qualify your post, making it clear that the content is intended as an editorial.

Old news is not news.
While blogging every day can be a drain, it is important that the information presented is current and accurate, writing an article or blurb about something that happened 6 months ago, will not be of interest to many. Telling your audience that Martha Stewart was convicted and will be going to prison, after her sentence is completed will make people question the value of your columns.

Adhere to a schedule.
Create a schedule and stick to it. Realizing that blogging requires time and effort, don't create unrealistic expectations and be unable to deliver. An occasional lapse or holiday is generally understood but readers returning to find stale, out-dated content are going to find another blog with similar content. New blogs are popping up on a daily basis. If you have worked hard to develop an audience and a community you don't want to lose them due to lack of communication.

Clarity and simplicity.
Keep your posts and blog entries clear and easy to understand. Remember, the web is global and expressions, idioms and acronyms don't always translate. Sometimes a little explanation goes a long way.

Keyword-rich.
If the goal of your blog is to increase your visibility, include related keywords in the title of the blog. Use the title as a headline to attract interest. Each item post should have a title that will attract attention but still be relevant to the post. The title should be no longer than 10-12 words.

Quantity matters.
In order to attract the attention of search engines, you will need to develop content and substance. A headline or simple sentence is not going to generate the interest of readers or help with search engine ranking. Be sure to archive old blog posts to develop a large portal of similarly-themed content.

Frequency.
If your blog content is updated frequently, search engines will tend to spider the pages at regular intervals.

Spell checking and proof-reading.
It only takes a few extra moments and can save you from having to make embarrassing explanations. Remember that whatever you publish on the Internet can be found and archived. Think carefully about what you post before doing so.

As well as text, blogs often contain audio, music, images and video.
They're also really easy to make, so you can have one even if you aren't very technical and anything can be posted instantly to a blog

Now why should we blog?
Surfing's no fun if you can't tell people what you've found How many times have you sent e-mails to your mates with the address of a particularly interesting web page, annotated with your own hilarious comments? never? Wouldn't it be good to get your own web page where you could publish these comments, plus the links you find, turn it into a daily journal of thoughts and ideas and make the whole thing available to the world?
Well now you can, and if you do, you'll be joining the phenomenon that has become 'blogging'.

The history of blogs
Blogging has become something of a big thing in the last few years, and some of the biggest and best known weblogs attract the kind of traffic that even big name e-commerce sites would be jealous of.
Weblogs are more than pages of links - they tend to reflect the personalities of their owners. They are personal web pages, updated very often.
They are the product of their owners' imaginations, interests and wit, and it's probably this personal touch which has made them so popular, especially for political issues.

Making money on the web

There are many sites out there that promise to pay subscribers for doing one thing or the other ranging from paid-to-read-email,surveys,reviews and blogging. Well, some of them pay but the majourity are spam, and fraud. I will take them one by one.

Paid to read e-mail: I will not say that they dont pay, but their pay per e-mail is verry little and makes it verry difficult to reach their pay-out value. i tried a lot of them and discovered that its very difficult to get something tangiable from them (most pay between 0.05-2.00 but those that do pay $2 hardly send you an email so its not worth it). 99 percent make their subscribers work like slaves and this is why i stopped using them.

Surveys: This is another way for making money on the web but definitely not for people who dont want to pay. Surveys charce their subscribers a given ammount in order to get paid. While i havent tried any, i am looking forward to do so once i have a credit card!

Reviews: So far i have only found one review site on the web that i trust which is www.reviewstream.com. They pay between $2-$5 depending on the set price. this is the only one i tried so i dont have much to say here.

Blogging:Now this is my favourite part :). This is a guaranteed way to earn on the web if you are not willing to invest a dime. Your revenue depends on how hard you work so its all up to you.
Blogging simply means writting about any thing at all that comes to your mind and posting ity in the web. you can write just anything ranging from facts, personal thougth, opinions ,reviews reprting, and what have you.It can be a paragraph , a page lenth or even more depending on what you are writting.
Now the most intresting part of this is earning money from it.There are sites that help users make money from blogging (check below for a list). But one thing this sites have in common is that they use Google adsense account to pay their subscribers [you can get one by clicking on the "earn money by showing relevant ads with google adsense" tab on the rigth panel of this page]. These sites will guide you througth the rest of the setup necessary to get your pay in your adsense account, but you will have to sign up first.
So its all up to you. If you want to earn more, you work more. Below are the list i promised

I was just thinking, What are the most stupid questions i've heard or asked? lol. i had asked so many. let me give you a run down of those i have heard:

-why doesn't glue stick or glue to its tube?-what colour is a chamelon?

-If we are meant to be clean after a bath then why do towels get dirty?
-do hot dogs really come from dogs?
-do we live to eat or eat to live?
- can a teacher give an homeless child, homework to do?
-why do u need your driver's license to buy liquor but can't drink and drive?
-why do we press harder on a remote control when we know that the battery is dead?
-chicken or egg, which came first?
-why does hot dogs come in a pack of 10 and the hot dog bun in a pack of 8?
